That sucks!
I'm nervous that I may be audited. In the U.S., we can claim the IVF expenses on our taxes if you meet a certain threshold income-wise and expense-wise - which we did.

They have the same thing in the US and we did just fine. Once they see what all you did, it'll all make sense. Sometimes is just a matter of looking you in the eye. :) Good luck! Audits are no fun.

I was audited for my first round of IVF as well. I phoned and got an extension due to just having twins. Good luck finding all your receipts, what a pain! Is it really 16%? I thought it was lower.
Take care

Sorry about the audit, I haven't ran into those problems yet. That just sucks. Good luck and I hope that it goes well.

Ouch. Consider sending them photos of your drug/needle stash and injection sites.

Grrr, I would be livid. I agree with Ann. I would totally send pics of my meds and injections. Lord knows I have enough of those pics!

I'm assuming its a partial audit, not a full audit and that you filed electronically. Ehhh, just send them what they want. Canada Customs and Revenue Service automatically flags certain things after they exceed a certain amount.
Like when I claimed $7000 in tuition costs. I don't think they liked the $3000 tax return I got that year.
At any rate: send the stuff in, they'll file it away and it'll disappear. They just want proof that you did what you said you did.
